At Oyster Point Academy, we believe that a positive therapeutic environment and successful school experiences are critical for student success. We offer educational programs for students with emotional disabilities who have demonstrated an inability to tolerate a less restrictive environment, and who may be more successful in an alternative school setting.
Our academic setting provides low student-to-teacher ratios, and a solid behavior management program and support system. We believe in fostering a close, interpersonal relationship with our students, parents and school systems. Oyster Point Academy assists students in their educational journey and, whenever possible, helps youth transition back into less restrictive settings within their home school system.
Our K-12 curriculum is aligned with local public school systems. With certified teachers and an intervention specialist in each classroom, students are offered one-to-one interventions and behavioral support. Students in Oyster Point Academy’s Day School are engaged in project-based instruction and hands-on activities
